Las altas colinas, las cuestas
de estadísticas
están ante nosotros.
la subida escarpada
de todo sube,
sube, mientras todos nosotros
bajamos.
El siglo que viene
o el siguiente,
dicen,
habrá valles, pastos...
Nos podemos encontrar allí en paz,
si llegamos.
Para subir estas cumbres venideras
una palabra para ti,
para ti y para tus hijos:
estad juntos,
aprended las flores,
id ligeros.

of statistics
lie before us.
the steep climb
of everything, going up,
up, as we all
go down.

are valleys, pastures,
